The Kilkenny Cat Laughs, Ireland’s annual craic pilgrimage, has been heralding the start of the summer since 1995. This medieval city in right at the heart of Ireland has played host to world class comedy and the best treated audiences in the world. Cat Laughs has a reputation for being a the comedians’ comedy festival, and creating that atmosphere where anything can happen.

Cat Laughs has helped nurture the fledgling careers of Irish acts like Dara Ó Briain, Graham Norton, Dylan Moran, Maeve Higgins, Ardal O’Hanlon, Deirdre O’Kane, David O’Doherty, Des Bishop and many, many more.

We have also welcomed international luminaries like Bill Murray, Zach Galifianakis, Louis CK, Laura Kightlinger, Bill Burr, George Wendt, Ross Noble, Peter Kay, Bill Bailey, Tig Notaro, Emo Philips and Sarah Millican among others.

In 2017 , Collapsing Horse Theatre take the cat reins and are bringing some of their comedy influences to Kilkenny and building on the fine legacy of the festival.
